Sorry, this is the best shot I've gotten, they were all not very clear and DH was rushing to go to work. Maybe the setting wasn't correct or it could be the cloudy skies. In fact, I went in and it started to rain... But you can see it better in the photo below,
pattern: World Knitting Spring/Summer 2004
Yarn: Sirdar Pure Cotton for the body ( only used 1 ball of 100g) . Crochet thread that I bought at Michaels, sorry I can't remember the name and the labels were gone last summer as i was trying to knit something else.
needles: Japanese size 4 ( 3.3mm) for knitting and crochet size 2
I am working on the matching cardi that I will show the progress on my next post. Right now, it's all crumpled with 267 sts in a straight needle. I still don't get used with circulars. :)
Ah I finally decided to work on Calla Lily, I was avoiding this project since the lace border needed more attention than my other wips. I got it to work yesterday night and I hope that I will be able to sew the border properly. Still long way to go for the lace border, about 270 rows to knit on...
Lavender is coming up fast as it's an easy knit and I simplified it even more by substituting for plain sts ( between the slanting eyelets) instead of small diamonds shape sts in the design.
I was supposed to search for the shell buttons for Lavender but due to the rainy forecast of this week I will have to postpone for next week. That's the reason for the sts from the right front being in a holder. It was set to go for a matching button session on Tuesday but it was pouring with rain . See , i even got one button hole ready for the try out.
I'm not so happy with the uneven cutaway curve. I was careful on the curve but still it doesn't look very neat . I've checked the design and theirs are not perfect either. I felt better ... :) I was thinking in crochet a thin border but it may look good. Hmm, will think about it later.
Well, it's time for lunch and since I did some ironing while posting, ( waiting Blogger to load my pictures can take some time) I can excuse myself from housework and do some knitting. ;) Need to knit faster, I am having this urge to start new projects, specially that I got the new Summer Keitodama in my hands.....
I am planning to knit the cover design and another super lacy one ( it reminds me of lacy shawl patterns) from this issue. I am so happy with the fact that I was able to get a copy from the air shipment lot from Kinokuniya. I found out that the bookstore receives a few copies in advance and once sold out I'll have to wait for at least another couple weeks for new ones to arrive from their sea shipment. Hehe , it may not be too relevant for you... but you can imagine how happy I feel to get it earlier in my possession. :D Well, it isn't a super edition but at least there are few designs that i would like to knit, much better than the Spring edition.
