I think I'm done with my "show and tell" about my latest knitting treasures. Life isn't back to normal yet , so knitting time is kind scarce nowadays. Though, there is some progress on Sweet Pea. It's going in a much faster pace than I originally had predicted. It could be that I am using larger needles sizes than I normally knit with it. See, I am done with the back of the sweater as you can see here:
I could have skipped the first photo but I had a small accident while takking the picutre. Silly me, thought that I could take a quick shot before the small portion of water would spill out. So there is a need to post the picture to compensate the efort of cleaning up the floor. Well, you get to see the back. Though, it's the same design as the front. :D
And speaking of the front, it's also done. To incentivate my knitting flow, I finished mending the shoulders and the V collar before starting the sleeves. It feels great to think that I only need to attach the sleeves when I am done knitting them at the end. I think I'll follow this sequence in the future as I dislike so much the mending part. Even though the total work is the same , mending a bit a time can minimize the boredom of the task.
There is a wrinkled look on the cabled stitches ( the Xs) that I am wondering if I should block it now before I attach the sleeves. By the way, did you notice the curved shape? The design is a straight line but it curves because it's all in plain stitches on the side. I would perfer it this way but I was too lazy to calculate the decreases and increases.
I am having a hard time to distract me away from the newest Fall Keitodama even though it's still hot around here and I am sweating as I am typing now. :D There are many designs in black and I have only the bamboo yarn to follow the trend. And it doesn't seen to fit any of the designs I plan to knit. I don't want to think about the possibility that I need to shop for more yarn. Though, it seems that I would have the perfect excuse for purshasing new yarn.
Hope you all have a relaxing weekend! See you all next week!

The sweater would probably fit better a bit curved at the sides.
BTW, nice flowers! :-)
I like the slightly shaped created by the stocking stitches. It's already lovely as sleeveless top ... can't wait to see the sleeves on.
I think that you always choose the cutest patterns to knit. I agree with Agnes that it already looks beautiful as a sleeveless top.
I know it might not be orthodox but I love to do my finishing while I go along with my knitting too.
That's an idea that I want to try too. Seam as I go, but I haven't finished anything lately that I can seam :)
I dislike seaming, usually my seaming section took me longer than my knitting time. Maybe I can try your method someday. ;) And that's quite a handful of yarns you got from Shanghai, if I have chance to go there, I must find the HengYuanxiang yarn shop you mentioned. ;)
The stitch pattern for this sweater is very unique. Oh I haven't seen the preview for FALL keito yet. Thanks for the link mimi.
You know that picture you took in shanghai yarn shop was really fascinating. All those yarn arranged neatly in their little box...kinda like a candy store, so tempting...I don't think I can walk out of there without buying anything :)
