I like this skirt, it's slightly longer on the back. In the meantime since I don't have a better top to go with, I shall just pair it with Iris. My little blue bag also found her matching friends! It was one of those hard to let it go purchases I got in Las Vegas this past Summer.
Here is a close up of the cable pattern,
Pattern : Iris from 1991 AMU magazine
Yarn : Cometa 100% cotton ( used 7 balls)
Manufacturer : Mondial (Italy)
I think Iris will fit me better after I block it ( Yes, I haven't blocked it yet!! I don't have the patience to wait for it to dry out before I can debut it and to post it as well). ;)
Looking at the cables work, I wouldn't think I could knit up without having little troubles in the twistings. To my surprise, I was able to knit without having to follow the chart all the time after a couple repeats and that really gave me a good knitting speed. Besides that, I am happy that I was able to have a very neat seaming on the sleeves and shoulder area. I am so relieved , just to think that I didn't unravell the back of this FO...So It's not so bad to let UFOs sitting a while in your baskets. ;)
