Catching up with knitting!

Lately, I am having hard time to go back to my usual knitting mood. But i still do knit, a little at time. I already started with some cotton knits with the false Spring temperatures we had here last month. I have a pattern from one of my old Amu magazines. I know I fell again tempted with the busy lacy style. This one was chosen because I really wanted to knit those leaves and bobbles. Some habits are hard to be changed! ;) It will be either a 3/4 length or short sleeves depending on my yarn allowance as usual. I often have this issue since my yarn stash is built with yarn I buy on my trips. And this lot was no exception. I am using Filatura Di Crosa Milifilli in Vanilla colour, knitted with Japanese needles size 4. I am trying to knit in smaller gauge with the hopes that this cotton top will be a perfect fit after a few wearings.

This is not a complex lace pattern; however, it requires some attention to the chart. I finally got to make an enlarged pattern copy and it does good for your eyes!

I soon had to give a break on this wip because the temperatures dropped a lot past week and my mood for cotton soon swept away. It's funny how I can change my mood for knitting.

Actually the progress was slow and that meant I wasn't feeling happy in my corner. I was in need to find a quick, no brain type of work. With that in my mind, I found a perfect project. A stole kit I had bought in Hokkaido. Using mohair yarn and this sort of novelty metallic thread combined together. It progressed so fast, look at this,

I started this past Friday evening and this photo was taken on Monday. Just the perfect project to give me a knitting boost. It's all done by now but not photos of the FO yet.
