Yes, it's all done! I like it so much but I won't be able to wear it. When I finished the back, I sensed the fear that it was kind large . But I told myself not to worry, since it's my first time to knit a bolero. As I mentioned before, I found this pattern from an old magazine and the cut of these designs are kind strange, maybe it was the loose fashion of 80's. The armhole is huge, so I
could not narrow down the sleeves too much. Anyway, I am still happy with the final product and it will be a gift for one of my sisters. So, sisters take a look and I will pass a few more of my past FO's that did not fit me so well either. Umn, kind selfish! But my sisters forgive me because I am the "baby" of the family. ;)
Now you can level your head back....Sorry for the tilted photo! I was planning to redo it but the camera was full and I wanted to post asap so that I can go and knit more... :)
Here is a photo of the back. I actually wanted to show how much yarn was left out... My yarn calculation was great at least! hehe
I had a request for info on the pattern. It's an old Japanese magazine that I purchased at a LYS. It had a few designs that I liked so I asked the owner of the shop if she would sell it to me.
Before you start to think the reason of my failure on Gray Pearl is that I didn't do a swatch.....:), I 'll show you this
Yes, it's Caramel Popcorn all ready for me to wear. I decided to just crochet a simple border as I didn't have much yarn left either. And this one fits me really well and the cotton is so soft and cooling. I think this yarn is much suitable for crochet than knitting.
And last photo per Doreen's request! I got to wear Mint Tea on past Saturday. The necklace? Yeah, part of my creation too. The stones are Aquamarine with uneven pearls. I know my hair is not neat, my photographer didn't alert me! He was too busy asking "Mom, with the head or headless?"
