Last Tuesday was a holiday for us and it was an unusual free time for DH from his recent work schedule. I was excited as we were able to go out as a family and our plan was to go biking with the boys. Unfortunately, it rained all day with ocassional breaks, so no biking only a lunch and a visit to a park. That didn't stop my enthusiasm, why? I had planned to take my newest Candy Cotton outdoors for a photo session. I worked hard the night before with the mending and I sew in the buttons next morning. I thought, i would have time to go to downtown in the morning to check for some buttons (ah, i often plan too many things in an unreasonable schedule!) . As time was short, i had to look in my button collection ( only a few ones) and found some purple buttons that i've bought in Korea.
They were going to be temporaly ones but i kind like them on this cardi. Did you notice the
uneven buttons spacing? I had originally planned to add a collar to this cardi but left over yarn was not sufficient, thus i had to make the first button hole higher. Redoing the front border would mean undoing the mending too. I opted for not minding the uneven spacing.
It is not my favorite one but i am very satisfied with the result in terms of fitting, mending and that i was able to add the front border nicely. I think, i've regained my confidence back.... :)
Proof of rain? Check my umbrella handle!
Did you notice the pink colourway collar? Yeah, the cardi looks a bit puffy because i was
wearing my diamond sweater underneath of it.
Lots of pictures this time! It was a way to compensate for the quick finishing up, the rain and the entrance fee to this park! :D BTW, just one more photo! It's not everyday that i have the chance to take my FOs outdoors and have handy photographers!;)
I am working in a new project that i'll share on my next post. I can tell you that it's a design from Winter World knitting and it's purpleish! Have a great knitting weekend!
